This is an extraordinary and rare opportunity to be informed and inspired by Andrés Duany, the leading strategist of New Urbanism. Duany is a principal at Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company (DPZ) and with his wife and partner won the 2008 Driehaus Prize, architecture's highest honor. DPZ is widely recognized for their seminal design of Seaside, Florida in 1980 and the close to 300 new towns, regional plans, and community revitalization projects they have completed since that have advanced New Urbanism and its mission to end suburban sprawl, revise development patterns and restore existing urban centers. Duany is also founder of the Congress for the New Urbanism; an organization characterized by the New York Times as "the most important collective architectural movement in the united states in the past fifty years."

Duany's insights helped to shape Blueprint Midtown and validate its importance at a pivotal time in Atlanta's history. His appearance at the Midtown Alliance Annual Meeting in 2002 was an absolute showstopper and one of our most popular presentations. We welcome Duany back to Midtown and hope you'll join us for this unique event.
